The Class of 2020 Graduation Progressive Events:

We are determined that this health crisis will not take away from the Class of 2020 and that our graduates and their families will receive a well-deserved and memorable celebratory experience.

We have been closely following information from the Governor’s office. Currently the Governor’s stay-at-home order ends on June 10. However, the Governor has publicly stated that there will be a gradual reopening of our state once the order ends.

Knowing our graduations at the Coliseum typically bring thousands of people together from our graduates, to our guests, to even the number of individuals from our staff, the Coliseum staff, the Hampton Police Division, and others that are required to run a safe event, the traditional in-person graduation ceremony has been transformed into several celebratory events.

These Progressive Commencement events will begin on May 18 and will run through the week of June 7. Our celebrations will include a cap and gown celebration, a commemorative photo session, a Live Virtual Graduation Ceremony, a processional “walk” with a Class of 2020 Decorated Vehicle Procession, and much more.

All of this information, including specific dates and details is located on our new HCS graduation website - http://www.hampton.k12.va.us/2020grad/2020.html.

We are so proud of the accomplishments of each graduate. We look forward to celebrating each of you!
