From Nurse Boone:

Influenza activity is increasing Virginia, as it often does this time of year.  It is recommended that the vaccine be administered to all those 6 months and older for those not yet vaccinated. Also, it is the season that we see the Norovirus. This gastrointestinal illness is readily transmitted from person to person. Hand washing will help prevent the spread of these illnesses. Also, you can help limit the spread of infection by staying at home from work or school until vomiting and diarrhea are fully resolved.
